Sustainable Fashion Events this Season

Sustainable fashion is still pretty absent in mainstream fashion weeks, luckily, there is the non-mainstream rest of us. Here are the sustainable fashion events I have my eye on right now.

Positive Week 2015

Positive Luxury is hosting another edition of Positive Week this year during 19-23 October 2015 and you can participate of the movement by sharing what makes you happy in life with the hashtag #positiveluxury. Look out for mine!

Positive Luxury is a platform that assesses the sustainability of a number of brands to provide a trustworthy signal to consumers that such brands are compliant with basic quality, sustainability  and social responsibility standards.

Parliament Week Fashion Event

London Ethnic is hosting a fashion showcase at the Houses of Parliament this November 20th at Westminster Hall as an official part of Parliament Week.

The main aim of parliament week is to get a wide range of people informed and interested in politics and this event will look at how UK democracy has inspired and shaped British fashion. There will be talks from Parliamentarians & Fashion Leaders and catwalk shows featuring the latest collections from some of the best new & emerging designers from the UK, as well as press and members of parliament.

Brighton Fashion Week Just Happened

Brighton Fashion Week (October 15-17) put an emphasis on sustainability and ethical fashion, partnering with upcoming designers and showcasing innovations in garment production, this Fashion Week supports designers like Rhiannon Hunt, who are creating new ways to make clothes in a more sustainable way.

My designs imagine an innovative new future for sustainable fashion where delicate natural fabrics meet contemporary silhouettes and 3D-printed clips allow the wearer to dramatically alter the style, size and shape of each garment.

The award-winning concept behind the collection has been featured in Drapers, Ecouterre and various industry publications.
