Everlane leggings are one of the last essentials you needed to complete your sustainable, ethical wardrobe (if that’s what you are into). Call me crazy, optimistic, or dramatic, but I think this piece of clothing represents our entire generation, the generation that made yoga pants OK for work and kind of invented athleisure, but also the generation that started caring about sustainable and ethical fashion.
Not sure how I missed this. Oh, wait, I do know: COVID-19, a baby, work, democratic primary debates… The point is that I know about them now and it seems like perfect timing in times of forced athleisure work-from-home outfits.
Leggings are one of those things I never paid too much attention to in regards to sustainability because, in my mind, they just have to fit right. If they don’t fit well, I don’t care if they were made using only upcycled horse manure by victims of human trafficking that later became political activists. I’m not buying them.
Everlane leggings promise to bring fit and performance with sweat-wicking fabric that is also made from recycled materials, plus their signature ethical, transparent manufacturing. At 2 pairs for $90, they are a fair comp to Lululemon and Aritzia, minus the child labor.
Also, that green, yes! They call it lichen, but I will keep calling it green.
