Everlane Ethical Backpacks
Finally. An ethically-made, minimalist backpack at a great price. It is pretty annoying that any time you want to buy something with the “ethical fashion” label on it, you have to add like 50% to the price, it doesn’t make sense if you actually want to make ethical practices more mainstream while offering quality products. Everlane might have reached the right scale where they can produce new products like these at a cost comparable to “non-ethical” brands. In that case, they become the mathematically correct answer if you are shopping for a backpack.

Price comparison for the Everlane Backpack
Compare this backpack price point to Herschel Supply or FJÄLLRÄVEN, for example. The Everlane new nylon backpack comes in two sizes and it costs $38 and $48 for the small and large, respectively. The competitors offer similar quality and sizes at roughly twice the price, as shown below.
The specs and materials are not exactly the same, but this is just for perspective. I bought a black Herschel Supply backpack recently (for my trip to India) and I just wish these had been out before that… But you have no excuses, these are the best option I’ve seen if you are looking for an ethical backpack that you can love for years to come.
